The Warragul Municipal Band’s plan to compete in the National Band Championships next year has been given a boost, thanks to the Drouin Rotary Club’s monthly Produce and Craft Market.
The Band has a busy travelling schedule for the next few months and is fundraising to enable it to attend the National Championships in South Australia in March 2016.
To support the Band, the Rotary Club of Drouin has donated $250.00. The funds are part of the proceeds of the monthly market.
The Rotary Club has been operating the market for around 13 years, with all proceeds being donated back into the Drouin and Warragul communities in the form of support for a wide range of projects and community groups.
The market operates on the third Saturday morning of every month in Civic Park with around 50 stallholders selling a range of products from fresh fruit, vegetables and cakes to clothing, plants and wooden toys.
