Sergeant at Arms Kevin outlined his new Pumpkin competition. At the next Market Kevin will have a trailer load of five pumpkins and once again it is a "Guess the weight"competition. If there is no winner on the Saturday, members will have another chance the following meeting. Also Tie Night next Tuesday 10 March

Glynn Fankhauser: BBQ and tour of Tynong Packing sheds Tuesday 17 March. $20 for BBQ and raffle tickets available. Dont forget this is a Partnersnight.

Shelley Wyatt thanked members for their support re her participation in a fundraising bike ride in Thailand. It was very hot they rode 117kms the first day, then 110, 125, 96 and 54kms the last day. The last day included 4kms uphill! The children at the Orphanage greeted them like heroes and Shelley said that being involved in building a strip of concrete road the next day added to her feeling of making a difference.

 

Ian Haughton: Final overview of Motorfest

Ian went through all arrangements, instructions and job lists for the weekend. He also distributed a very comprehensive booklet with two beautifully coloured maps regarding information for volunteers -and there are many volunteers who arent Rotarians!
